Knowledge is power, and knowing about your appliances and home will arm you against any sort of issues you may encounter. Gather anything you may have into a binder for reference later when the situation calls for it. When bought from new, appliances come with manuals, but they often are able to be gotten from the internet if the manual is missing. Service manuals are also often available, and are useful in case repair is needed. Include receipts for anything bought new, as often warranties will call for them, such as on toilets. Getting a copy of drawings for buildings or property is a nice addition, as well as diagrams for gardens if you do such things. Collecting these things is a great bonus for the next resident, and can save a lot of headache down the line.
